Dr. Syed M. Ali is board-certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine and a co-founder of Consultants of Kidney Disease. Dr. Ali completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Guthrie Clinic in Sayre, PA and his Nephrology Fellowship at the University of Arkansas. Dr. Syed Ali has 19 years of clinical experience with special interests including End Stage Renal Disease and its complications, Acute Kidney Injury, Chronic Kidney Disease and Electrolyte Disorders.
Dr. Syed M. Ali is the recipient of the Presidential Scholarship Award, Best Internal Medicine Resident Award 2007, and Best Nephrology Fellow Award 2012. He also served as Chief Resident and Chief Fellow during his Internal Medicine Residency and Nephrology Fellowship, respectively.
Syed M. Ali, MD speaks English, Urdu and Hindi. He likes to travel, explore new places and cultures, and enjoys playing cricket and squash in his free time.
Dr. Muzzaffar Hussain is board-certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine and a co-founder of Consultants of Kidney Disease. Dr. Hussain completed his Internal Medicine Residency from Guthrie Clinic in Sayre, PA and Nephrology Fellowship from Baystate Medical Center/Tufts University School of Medicine in Springfield, MA. He has 16 years of clinical experience with special interests including Acute Renal Failure, Chronic Kidney Disease, End Stage Renal Disease and Hypertension.
Dr. Hussain received the Best Patient Care Award in 2013 at Baystate Medical Center. He was a member of the Executive Committee in the department of Hospital Medicine at Baystate Medical Center in 2012-2013. Dr. Hussain is also a member of the American Society of Nephrology (ASN) and the Renal Physicians Association (RPA).
Dr. Muzzaffar Hussain speaks English, Urdu and Hindi. He likes to play Tennis and spend time with his family in his leisure time.
Nephrology - Board certified in Nephrology & Internal Medicine
Dr Adnann Polani completed his Internal Medicine residency at the Marshfield Clinic in Wisconsin. He completed his nephrology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He received an award for the highest training exam score at Baylor College of Medicine, which attests to his medical knowledge in Nephrology. He is a member of the American Society of Nephrology (ASN) and the Licentiate Medical Council Canada (LMCC). Dr. Polani speaks English, Urdu and Hindi. In his free time, Dr. Polani enjoys swimming, watching and playing cricket, and world travel.
Cindy Hopkins received her Associates of Applied Science in Nursing from Houston Community College. She completed her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Texas Woman’s University in 2002 and a Master of Science in Nursing- Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Texas at Arlington. CIndy has worked in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Heart and Vascular Clinic at the University of Iowa, as well as Labor and Delivery. Cindy joined the Consultants of Kidney Disease team as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2019.
